Additional Information
The Department offers education in the Social Policy and Social Work at Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. level. At Bachelor level, the students can study social work, at Master level, they can focus on social work or public policy. Students are acquainted with the concepts of modern development of public social policy, social work with clients and their theoretical bases. They are introduced into the methods of social work with individuals as well as with social groups. Necessary knowledge includes also the introduction into the creation and implementation of social policy and social service programmes, and into the methods of their effectivity. The study of legal conditions helps to frame the theory, and the study of methods gives further skills necessary for practical reflection on social prolems, life situtations of clients, and mainly on the ways how to handle them.
