Other programmes and schemes of mobility for MU students and employees
Students
ERASMUS and AIA programmes are described in specific articles of this website. In case of interest in some of these other options, contact faculty International Office for details (as the websites of the exchange programmes are often in Czech). You can read the brief descriptions below, for quick overview of each program. In the Links in the left menu, you find links to CZS MU (Office for International Studies - whole-university level), as well as other mobility programmes, foundations, sponsors, and other interesting sources to search. Partner universities - scholarships
Another option is to apply for scholarship at one of the numerous partner universities, and spend a year in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, USA, Canada or Australia. You will find the list of partner scholarships through the OIS website. The websites of OIS concerning these partner scholarships and other offers list them in Czech, but faculty Int. Office is sending news in English to your email.
Erasmus Mundus Action II - formerly External Cooperation Window
Masaryk University has extended the cooperation within this program in 7 world regions: for outgoing students, 3 consortia, JOSYLEEN, JoinEU-SEE, MEDASTAR and Triple I have an open call for applications at the moment (the other consortia waiting for the new call: EMAIL, EM2SA, EXPERTS, AREAS, MARCOXII). Student exchange stays from 6 month to 1 year are possible at universities that are members of the consortia (European universities students come for exchange to the other partners and vice versa). ISEP program
Students at Masaryk University, as well as students from abroad with a desire to spend a semester or year in Brno, can use the popular International Student Exchange Program. Within a network of universities worldwide (MU uses this network for non-European exchange stays only) you can easily find a desired place, where you want to pursue your studies. The applications - for study stays in the next academic year - are submitted at whole-uni OIS each November (20th Nov in 2009). Mobility fund of MU - so called "Freemover"
In case you find a university that accepts you for a period of time (1-10 month), you can ask each November for a financial support from the university mobility fund to carry out your research or do a semester of studies. Application requires a document on admission. Information is published on CZS/OIS website in Czech. The funds are limited - 7000 CZK per month for stays in Europe and 10 000 CZK overseas. CEEPUS
Students with citizeship in Central European region can mutually use this mobility programme of academic exchange. Study stays in Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania and Serbia are possible. More at CEEPUS website. FSS students can travel as freemovers within this mobility programme.
Visegrad Scholarships
Students from V4 and other countries can use this great opportunity to spend a semester or to study a whole degree program at graduate level in the Visegrad countries and all countries that are listed. See IVF website for more information. Deadlines: January 31.
Academic and administrative staff
Among other things, teachers and administrative workers can use ERASMUS programme, Erasmus Mundus Action II, or Compostela Group of Universities for their stays abroad.
