Mobility of students and employees

Students and employees of Masaryk University have numerous possibilities to study and work abroad. The time spent abroad while studying or working at university has become an indispensable part of academic career. At the same time, the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University welcomes international students - not only for degree programmes, but also for an exchange study period - and teachers from the whole world.

One of the most frequent schemes used for mobility by students and employees is ERASMUS subprogramme of Life-long Learning Programme of European Commission (the Faculty has more than 140 agreements around Europe). Then, International Student Exchange Program and partner agreements with universities facilitate study stays abroad for students, some other possibilities are offered by the Academic information agency of the Czech Republic, and further programmes (CEEPUS for Central European countries, AKTION for Austria, etc.) or through foundations or individual donors. In addition, Masaryk University has gained parnership in 7 consortia of Erasmus Mundus Action II. The Faculty of Social Studies itself has several bilateral agreeements solely for social sciences. For our outgoing students, there are also mobility funds that offer scholarships for semester-long study abroad period or for shorter visits of conferences and other events.

Incoming students and staff are welcome via the above mentioned exchange schemes, but also extra upon mutual agreement.
