The aim of the conference is to show high school students the wide range of topics they can explore at the university—not only through their own research. This year marked the fourth edition of the event.
Thanks to the award-winning bachelor’s theses, conference participants get a glimpse behind the scenes of the university and discover the diversity that can be found across all twelve degree programs offered at FSS.
Lecture hall P51 was filled with students not only from Brno grammar schools but also from places such as Uherské Hradiště and Židlochovice.
The three thematic sessions were introduced by faculty speakers, some of whom had supervised the bachelor’s theses being presented. We would like to thank Michaela Šaradín Lebedíková, Ph.D., from the Department of Media Studies and Journalism, Otto Eibl, Ph.D., from the Department of Political Science, and Markéta Horáková, Ph.D., from the Department of Social Policy and Social Work for their inspiring contributions.
For the students presenting their award-winning bachelor’s theses, the conference is an opportunity to share their work with a younger audience, while for many attendees it is often their first experience with an academic conference. To make the event feel truly authentic, this year again featured name badges, a generous coffee break, as well as a guided tour of the faculty.
