Consultations in the field of science publishing and evaluation
Assistance with the selection of journals for publishing, including advice on the compliance options of Open Access
Checking the quality and transparency of journals, conferences, or publishers
An overview of the most common identifiers and help with setting them up
Registration of results in the national Register of Information on Results (RIV), along with consulting on the registration process
Assistance with the preparation of Annexes 5 and 6 of the Directive in the context of habilitation and the procedures for being appointed as a professor.

In 2026, vouchers (tokens) for open access publishing remain available with selected publishers. The current number of vouchers and the conditions for their use can be found on the Open Science MU website.

Complimentary Menstrual Products Supported Through Corporate Partnership

Since the spring semester of 2023, the faculty has been providing complimentary menstrual products in all women’s restrooms. The initiative aims to enhance the comfort of both female students and female employees while fostering an open and supportive environment. The annual cost of the program amounts to nearly CZK 100,000.

FSS Researchers Participated in an Expert Panel on Public Service Media Funding

Researchers from FSS MUNI took part in an expert panel focused on the funding models for public service media in the Czech Republic. In early March, the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University, the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University, and the Faculty of Arts at Palacký University Olomouc joined forces to host a unique expert discussion at the Hollar building of Charles University’s Faculty of Social Sciences in Prague. Representing FSS MUNI on the panel were Marína Urbániková and Klára Smejkal.
