The first welcome day at FSS MU
In September we welcomed 15 new employers who have become an important part of our faculty. These talented people come both from the Czech republic and from different parts of the world and they enrich the Department of sociology, the Department of media studies and journalism, the Department of social policy and social work, the Department of international relationships and European studies, the Institute for psychological research and Study department.
The first faculty Welcome day was organised for our „novices“ and it was opened by the dean S. Balík and the assistant dean V. Hloušek. They welcomed new employers in our academic family and gave them first valuable advice.
After mutual introductory meeting and presentation, the faculty inspection followed. As a very important point of the programme, we perceive the introduction of the Central library of FSS, its wide offer of services which is above-standard for study and research tasks. The other collective way with new employers led to the Centre of competence development of MUNI and the Centre of foreign co-operation of MUNI where the deputies of the department introduced their services.
The delicious lunch in a university canteen in RMU was suitable for informal experience sharing. A volunteer collective programme followed after lunch, and it was a visit of the underground of Brno city. We would like to thank to the management of the faculty for support while realizing the Welcome day and we wish to new members of our faculty team to feel with us at home.
