The Wishing Tree is at FSS MU

A new Christmas “decoration” has appeared in the atrium of the Faculty of Social Studies – the Wishing Tree. It doesn’t have lights or sparkling ornaments, but small cards with the wishes of children, single parents, seniors, and others who might otherwise spend Christmas under difficult circumstances. Each card is an invitation: whoever takes one can bring joy to a specific person – and also to themselves, because the feeling of truly helping someone is one of the best gifts of all.

Anyone who wants to participate can choose a card, buy the gift listed on it, and bring it to the designated collection point at FSS on December 11. The organizers will take care of wrapping the gifts and delivering them to the recipients.

How to participate

  • After taking a card, register via the QR code so that the wish can be matched with a donor.
  • Buy the gift yourself, with your family, or with colleagues.
  • Deliver the gift in a box or bag; the organizers will handle the wrapping.
  • If you want to include a message for the recipient, place it in an unsealed envelope.

Important information

  • Each wish is unique. Please make sure to fulfill it.
  • Gifts for children should be given “od Ježíška.”
  • More expensive wishes can be fulfilled together with colleagues or friends.
  • If you cannot make it on the collection day, arrange individual delivery by emailing sppdfmuni@gmail.com.
