My experience with podcasting at FSS

FSS lounge podcast
I had in my mind to make a podcast for a long time now but before MUNI – FSS I did not have an audience or professional equipment. As you would understand, it isn't easy to start a project from a complete scratch. So, I was over the moon with joy when the podcast idea got accepted.
This podcast project is extremely dear to me as I spent quite some time on the name selection and also the design of the logo. For the logo, we used the original one of the FSS and made some changes to it. Firstly, I did the design I had in mind myself and then I transferred it to a professional to make it better. I believe it turned out quite well as you can see it is quite simple and it also expresses what it has to.
This podcast is the complete product of teamwork. Not a single person gets the whole responsibility as each of us does one thing to be able to record one episode. Even if a student is not experienced in everything about the podcast, working as a team makes it easier for us to participate in it.
Specifically for the selection of guests, the connections of FSS help a lot. There we share episodes about different topics. Some of us do interviews with students, alumni or professors.
I mainly do interviews with professors about topics that interest me, and I believe that will be interesting to our students. These professors are from our faculty or guest lecturers from other countries such as the USA or England. As a student, I probably would not have a chance to connect with these professors and to invite them to record an episode with me. But the prestige of FSS attracts them here and I also use that opportunity of course.
This is an amazing opportunity that FSS provides for its students. We have students there from the Media Studies and Journalism who use the radio of FSS as a practice for their future careers. I am not from this program but even for me this is an unforgettable experience and I also feel that it gives me a lot.
