Top 5 places to visit in Brno
Not everyone might claim that the capital of a country embodies its culture. Each of the cities possesses the own zest, which basically aims to distinguish the town from the rest with just one feature. However, significance of Brno doesn't limit itself. The wide range of activities from sightseeing vintage churches to visiting modern welcoming facilities points on variability of urban opportunities. Delving into the local culture and finding out where both locals and visitors spend their free time worth mentioning. Hence, I am going to present the top five places in the distinctive city of Brno.
Most people believe that the gorgeous places are located only in the historical center of each town. However, I would like to bust the myth with a vivid example outside the city noises of Brno. Brno Dam (Brněnská přehrada) is a spectacular sight, especially during summertime with warm sun rays and a light breeze. It does not matter if you like active or more quiet rest, here you can find attractions to your taste and enjoy the atmosphere.
Do you also enjoy spending time in a peaceful ambiance? Then, the following location is here for you. Park Kraví Hora appears as a remarkable place for everyone who wants to walk along the winding path and feel the power of nature nearby. Personally, I am in love with lovely picnics, which everyone can arrange in Kraví Hora. The natural delight of this place generates much energy. Furthermore, I would strongly recommend visiting the planet exhibition during the summer. The solar system will be in full view.
Pelíšek – cat café – is a cozy place near the Brno’s center, where you can pet cats and relax from the city hustle. A pleasant and friendly atmosphere, original and delicious desserts, and many-many cats jumping all over the space create unbelievable feelings. It is also an excellent place for students who search for cute places to study in a relaxed environment. I often bring friends to the cat cafe because the accessibility and comfort of this place clearly distinguish it from others. And especially the fluffy friends who live there are the biggest bonus!
Active rest is not only a summer privilege. You will find a fair number of activities even in Brno's cold weather. My favorites are definitely skating rinks. Kluziště za Lužánkami, Kluziště Vodova, and Kluziště na Kraví hoře might create a lovely winter's atmosphere. The ultimate happiness and joy will rush through you once you put the skates on!
I want to end my small list with an extraordinary place for me. Obilní trh – is a small square with an astonishing atmosphere. The architecture, nature around, slight noise of trams, and indescribably beautiful fountain make this place wholly cozy and comfortable, especially with a cup of hot coffee. It is located near our faculty, allowing students to visit it between courses. One day, I suggest you grab snacks and walk around this mysterious but energetic place.
Thus, meeting the remarkable city suggests its versatility. Brno is able to surprise both those who prefer a passive form of entertainment as well as an active one. With its uniqueness, it decently takes the second place as the most recognizable cities in the Czech Republic. In order to get to know Brno from the inside and feel its atmosphere, it is not worth paying attention to the regular places listed in travel websites. Yet following an atypical route, everyone may feel the Czech spirit in any corner of the ancient city of Brno.
