What experiences make you a great ambassador?
Moving to Brno for my Master’s was exciting but also full of new challenges and this is something I’ve always enjoyed navigating. Before this, I worked as a language teacher and volunteered in educational and community projects, helping people feel supported and included. I’ve also helped organize events and guide new students, so I know how much of a difference a friendly face and clear advice can make. As an ambassador, I want to be someone others can count on for both practical help and a warm welcome.
What advice would you give to new students?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions, whether it’s about your courses, student life, or even how to use the tram app! Everyone around you has been in your shoes before, and there’s a whole community willing to help. Try to get involved beyond the classroom: join events, explore different parts of the city, and take time to meet people from different backgrounds. The connections you make will become one of the most enriching parts of your experience!
What do you love most about Brno?
Brno has a perfect balance: it’s vibrant and student-friendly but not as overwhelming as bigger cities. I love how easy it is to find cozy cafés for studying, green spaces for relaxing, and cultural events that keep things exciting all year round. It feels like a city where you can truly focus on your studies while still enjoying an active and inspiring lifestyle.
