What experiences make you a great ambassador?
Hello! I'm always happy to talk, answer questions, and share opinions with you. I study Conflict and Democracy, but I also love to discuss Brno, learning Czech, the Faculty of Social Studies, and anything else around student life here. Let me know what your expectations, apprehensions, and hopes are, and we can go from there:) I've studied in three other countries and lived in a few more, so I hope I can give a fair perspective on things.
What advice would you give to new students?
From your first day here: say yes to invitations, take time to introduce yourself to anyone you can, and find some hobbies that engage you with the city. Studying is obviously the priority, but beyond it, living in another country is an amazing opportunity and you should make the most of it.
What do you love most about Brno?
Arriving in Brno is like slipping on a colorful sweater knit by a friendly Czech grandma - instantly comfortable and familiar but still new and exciting. The city is large enough to be busy but small enough to feel at home quickly. And no matter how much time you spend exploring, you'll still keep finding charming new roads to go down. English is widely spoken, but if you learn some Czech greetings and phrases, you'll be welcomed anywhere with open arms. Perfect for student life overall:)
