The Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University successfully hosted its Orientation Week for new international students, marking the beginning of their academic journey in Brno. The event aimed to help students acclimate to their new environment, connect with peers, and explore the opportunities available at one of the Czech Republic's leading social science institutions.

Getting Started at FSS

The Orientation Week provided essential information to help international students navigate campus life at the Faculty, which hosts approximately 400 international students from 45 countries. New students received guidance on administrative procedures, course selection from over 200 English-taught courses, and support services available through the International Relations Office.

Autumn Events Foster Community

To further welcome international students and help them integrate into the FSS community, two special events were organized during the autumn semester. The Faculty hosted a barbecue, offering students a casual setting to meet classmates and faculty members while enjoying traditional Czech hospitality. Additionally, a hike to Lake Veveří provided an opportunity for students to explore the stunning nearby nature that Brno is famous for.
