During the September 2024 Orientation week, the International Relations Office (IRO) warmly welcomed new Full-degree student and Exchange students including Erasmus ones. This semester, 143 Exchange students arrived at the Faculty of Social Studies, the highest number in the last five years.

The international students were invited to numerous presentations about Masaryk University, an introduction to the Czech Republic, services for students in MU and Brno, protection of students rights at MU, the student advisory center, and general study rules at MU.

The International Relations Office at the Faculty of Social Studies prepared a presentation about all the necessary steps that are required before the start of study.
Essential information regarding post-arrival procedures in Brno was shared, offering a detailed guide on how to complete their residency permit. IRO staff were on hand to explain the process and answer any questions the students had.

On Wednesday, September 11, Exchange students were invited to meet the Erasmus coordinators and were explained all the details about their studies, including a presentation of the FSS library.

As part of the Orientation week's activities, on September 20, students were given a guided tour of the Faculty of Social Studies.

Student ambassadors led the tour, starting at the entrance and moving through key areas such as the library, atrium, and courtyard, and finally reaching the terrace with its stunning view.

The first group was made up of Exchange students and the Full-degree students formed the second group, beginning their tour after attending presentations from the library, IRO, and program coordinators.
Student ambassadors introduced themselves, explained their role at the faculty and offered their help to new students.

This well-structured orientation week not only provided vital information but also gave students a chance to explore the faculty, helping them smoothly integrate into their new academic setting.
