The CREATIC Centre of Excellence at Masaryk University’s Faculty of Medicine has opened new facilities in one of the buildings at the Bohunice University Campus, offering hope to patients with rare and serious diseases.
Today, representatives of Masaryk University and the City of Brno signed a land swap agreement. The university will acquire a parcel in Brno–Bohunice, expanding its existing campus area. The site is designated for new halls of residence and affordable community housing with a capacity of up to 1,500 beds.
Radek Doležal studies medicine and Nicole Folcová studies dentistry, both at the Faculty of Medicine. Together, they have shown that even the notoriously demanding medical studies can go hand in hand with elite sport. At the end of last year, they won the title of Czech academic champions in dancesport, or competitive dancing.
For Allison Hackett-Haslan, Brno was her first European adventure. Thanks to the Czech Heritage Summer School, she had the opportunity to learn about Czech history, language and life.
