| Popis | One of the most exemplar parts of media fandom is fans’ creative work (fan $ction). Some fans participate creatively; others just consume the work of the active ones. Fan $ction is linked to the original media products such as movies, television series, comics or books. Some aspects of this work are therefore borrowed. Fan $ction has its own rules of production and rating, it uses original and traditional narrative genres and its own language (fanspeak); its authorship alone is a very complex phenomenon. %is paper introduces fanspeak as an active fan practice and shows how fans use their special language between themselves and in communication with producers. It postulates fanspeak as one of the examples of manifestoed power potential that fans hold. It also includes some examples of fanspeak as a part of possible commercial strategy which can be used by media producers. |
