This year’s Open Day attracted a record number of participants. The hallways of the Faculty of Social Sciences were bustling from early Saturday morning. In total, more than 700 prospective students visited the faculty this year.
The event offered those who came an opportunity to attend an introductory presentation on admission requirements and study options at the faculty. In individual classrooms, our current students prepared presentations for prospective students on individual study programs. The library was open and the Dezert Cafe bistro was also available, allowing all Open Day participants to fully experience and enjoy the atmosphere of FSS.
The Czech Science Foundation (GA ČR) has announced calls for project proposals in the areas of Standard Projects, JUNIOR STAR, POSTDOC INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP, and International Projects, as well as a new scheme, the Restart Grants, designed for researchers resuming their careers after a break.
The Rome Summer Institute, the summer school of the Department of Social Policy and Social Work in Rome, is an excellent opportunity for both students and academics. It offers international collaboration, exchange of experience, and professional development in an inspiring environment. Participants gain new perspectives on social issues and establish valuable contacts.
