The podcast Poslední generace has been named the Podcast of the Year 2025 in the Breakthrough of the Year category, specifically in the Interviews & Entertainment subcategory. The podcast serves as a platform for student audio production from both FSS MUNI and JAMU (Janáček Academy of Performing Arts).
The creators of the podcast didn’t submit their work to the competition themselves—it was the jury who selected them for the shortlist. For the team, this recognition is considered to be both an important form of feedback and a great honor.
The podcast features debates from the course Podcast GenZ, as well as reports and documentaries created in the Audio Journalism and Audio Documentary courses—often including the final bachelor’s projects accompanied by interviews with the authors.
The students from FSS MUNI are professionally mentored by Jan Hanák and Martina Pouchlá. The students from JAMU are mentored by Tereza Reková and also contribute to the podcast’s episodes.
Most episodes were created and produced in the Radio R studio. Our thanks go out to everyone who has contributed to the podcast—this award belongs to you!
The youngest adult generation is beginning to shape the world—whether we like it or not. What are their concerns, viewed through a lens of sensitivity and perhaps even fragility? Documentaries, reports (or dramas), and conversations with young content creators. This is how Poslední generace sees it. Don’t agree? You don’t have to. Just listen—and stay informed. Created by young authors under the guidance of Jan Hanák and Tereza Reková.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, held a discussion with students at the Faculty of Social Studies. Nearly two hundred students filled the lecture hall to capacity, and the event was covered by student media outlets Radio R, MUNI TV, Studex, Atrium, and Stisk.
On November 8th, more than seven hundred high school students spent their Saturday exploring the cozy corners of our faculty. In addition to experiencing the atmosphere of our classrooms, they also received valuable insights from current FSS MUNI students. Furthermore, they learned a great deal about the admissions process and the study programs at the faculty from the Office for Studies. That was this year’s Open Day at our faculty. The next major event for prospective students at FSS MUNI will be the Open Day on January 16th.
