Grant strategy

Did you know that each department gets back into its budget a portion of the overhead funds earned in grants? Or that academics get paid for submitting grants?

These and other details about departmental and staff motivation, the quality of administrative support and working with talented junior researchers can be found in the Faculty's grant strategy from this year. The document sets out the direction we want to take in the coming years in terms of grant projects. Our goal is to make the FSS active and successful in grant competitions. In addition to the priority domestic GACR competitions, we want to focus on strengthening our success in international Horizon Europe grant competitions. We would like to have a prestigious ERC (European Research Council) or coordinator project at the FSS by 2028.
