News in the program Erasmus+

After a challenging period of renewing contracts with partner universities, now in digital form, the annual Erasmus+ selection procedure for students was opened. More than 4,000 universities are already involved in the Erasmus without paper program, which made this digitization possible, and it is not just about contracts. It will gradually affect all documents related to mobility under this program.

Erasmus+ study mobility is the flagship of the program. Currently, we have 176 contracts at the faculty, based on which our students can spend a semester at a foreign university. We are also happy to welcome students from abroad. Every year, over 170 students go to study at partner universities. Even during the pandemic, the numbers have remained at two-thirds of that amount. The selection process is currently underway. We hope that students will not miss out on this opportunity to study abroad.

Constantly large numbers of students also set off for working internships, either in the Erasmus program or as free movers.

The Erasmus program now offers so-called blended intensive programs, which combine virtual mobility with physical mobility for 5-30 days, e.g. in the form of summer schools.

For the employees:

Employee mobility is an integral part of the program, whether for teaching or training to support the professional development of staff. These mobility programs, usually lasting one to two weeks, have been reduced by the pandemic, but we are looking forward to the new academic year and the upcoming selection process, which will be announced in March.

Outside the EU, our staff can also travel to partner universities in Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina, or Albania for teaching or training under the (unfortunately) ending program Erasmus+ ICM (muni.cz) with an application deadline of 1 June, and in particular they can take advantage of the new Global Staff Mobility Program, where there are application deadlines four times a year. The next deadline will be on 30 April.
