The Open Science Week 2026 conference will take place between October 20 and 22. Everyone interested in learning more about open science is welcome to attend. The conference is aimed at librarians, researchers, data stewards, project support staff, and anyone else who works with open science professionally or would simply like to learn more about it.
The conference will be held online via Zoom, and registration is available for one, two, or all three days. There will also be accompanying events in Prague and Brno. On October 19, the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences will host a Citizen Science Workshop; registration is required. There will also be an evening event on October 22 called “Mistakes Are Still Welcome!” You can attend in person at the FAMU Club in Prague or Místogalerie Skleněná louka in Brno. No registration is required for the evening event in either Prague or Brno.
The results of the admissions process for our Czech-language bachelor’s degree programs confirm the continued growth in interest in studying at FSS. The number of students enrolled in FSS bachelor’s degree programs taught in English is also growing.
As the new academic year gets underway, we have prepared several new initiatives for everyone, ranging from opportunities for learning to informal gatherings. Here’s what you can look forward to in the coming weeks.
