Selection procedure for Erasmus+ study stays
This year we have seen a record number of 266 applications from students of the faculty for Erasmus+ semester exchanges for the 2024/25 academic year. It is great to see the level of interest in studying abroad continuing to grow!
Unfortunately, due to lack of funding for scholarships, we came up against quotas that prevented us from nominating all students who met the required prerequisites. We were only able, in close collaboration with the departmental coordinators, to nominate 174 students with scholarships, representing 65% of the total number of applications. Because of this limitation, the coordinators had to do two rounds of selection because even with the more stringent student selection criteria, we still had far more quality applicants than we could nominate. In addition, we nominated two students who were willing to go with a so-called zero grant, i.e. no scholarship.
We thank everyone for their participation, congratulate the nominated students and wish them a wonderful and inspiring stay abroad. And for those who were not so lucky, best wishes for the next selection process, either in other scholarship schemes or next year with Erasmus, where we expect to be able to support more students.
