It is necessary to submit the required documents to the authorized person at the faculty:

1. Verificationof Foreign Secondary School Education - a notary-certified copy of the final secondary school certificate with verification of signatures and stamps in accordance with internation obligations of the Czech Republic (see below). A certified translation of the certificate into Czech or English is required (documents issued in English or Slovak do not need translation). 
2. Letter of eligibility is required. Students can find a template for the eligibility letter here  for their secondary school to complete. 

Important!   Masaryk University requires, in accordance with section 90, subsection 3 of Act no. 111/1998 Coll., On Higher Education Institutions , Authentication of Signatures and Stamps on the Original of Diplomas.    

• Means of authenticating the signatures and stamps occurring on the original of the diploma dependence on the country that was issued, ie where the applicant earned his / her education.
• The following table contains a list of individual countries and requirements related to the verification of diplomas obtained in them.    

The signatures and stamps of authentication can be classified into three categories, depending on the (non) existence of an international agreement:

1 - No authentication required: There is a valid bilateral agreement between the country and the Czech Republic concerning mutual legal assistance. Diplomas issued in these countries are valid in the Czech Republic without the need for any further authentication of stamps and signatures. Only certified copy is required (made by Czech notary or made by CzechPoint), for countries that signed multilateral convention on judicial assistance    

2 - Apostille is required: the relevant country is a signatory to the multilateral treaty abolishing the requirement of legalization for foreign public documents (The Hague Convention). The authenticity of signatures and stamps on a diploma earned in one of the signatory countries must be certified by the so-called Apostille, issued by the competent authority of the country. For the list of competent authorities in all signatory countries, please visit the Hague Conference website.         

3 - Superlegalization (Higher Authentication of Documents): Relates to Other Countries; The authenticity of the signatures and stamps on the diplomas issued in them has been certified by means of so-called superlegalization (Higher Authentication of Documents), ie verification of the diploma by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State which is the seat of the higher education institution, which has issued the document (or its authorized foreign body), followed by verification of the Czech representative office (embassy) based in the foreign country.
