For our newcomers the first Faculty Welcome Day was organized, which started with a warm welcome by Dean S. Balík and Vice-Dean V. Hloušek who provided valuable advice and welcomed new employees to the academic family of the Faculty of Social Studies.
Following introductions and presentations, our new colleagues had the opportunity to explore the faculty. As a very important point of the program we see the introduction and wide range of services of the Central Library of the FSS, which is above standard for study and research tasks.
Another joint trip with new staff members led to Competence Development Centre MUNI and Centre for International Cooperation MUNI, where the department representatives presented their services. A delicious lunch in the academic canteen at RMU was suitable for informal sharing of experiences and the lunch was followed by a voluntary joint program in the Brno Underground.
We would like to thank the faculty management for their support for the implementation of the Welcome Day and wish the new members of our team to feel at home at our faculty. We are glad that you are creating the Faculty of Social Studies with us!

In April 2023, we successfully completed the first phase of implementation of our HR Award FSS MU Action Plan and submitted a self-assessment and revised action plan according to the certification conditions to the European Commission HR Excellence in Research.
The May days at FSS were full of educational days not only for students but also for academic staff. As part of the implementation of the HR Award action plan, training sessions were conducted under the title Behavioural Interviewing.
