Project proposals for funding in 2026 must be submitted by April 3, 2025. The results of the competitions will be announced at the end of October and November of this year.
The EXPRO call for funding for excellent research has not been announced this year; its next expected call is planned for 2026. The key innovation in this year’s competition is the Restart Grants, which support outstanding researchers restarting their careers within 10 years of earning a Ph.D. after a break due to parental leave or caregiving responsibilities. The project can be submitted within two years of completing a career break that lasted at least one year. The duration of the support will depend on the chosen workload and will range from two to four years. Updates on all GA ČR 2026 calls for proposals will be provided via the website and the Research and Project Support Office newsletter.
The Rome Summer Institute, the summer school of the Department of Social Policy and Social Work in Rome, is an excellent opportunity for both students and academics. It offers international collaboration, exchange of experience, and professional development in an inspiring environment. Participants gain new perspectives on social issues and establish valuable contacts.
In 2024, the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University successfully advanced several major projects, as evidenced by the high number of competitive proposals submitted and the accomplishments achieved throughout the year.
