The Faculty Day started in the morning with a ceremonial opening in the Aula, where students received the I. A. Bláha awards for best bachelor theses. Dean's awards were also handed out. After the awards were presented, all participants could admire the displayed insignia and gowns which are used during academic ceremonies.
At noon, the smell of refreshments, brought by the Faency Fries and Páreček! food trucks, wafted in front of the faculty. Up to six hundred portions of food were free for students and staff. There was a choice from homemade fries with various dips to classic and vegan versions of hot dogs.
For the second year, a ping pong tournament was held as well as a stair-climb race, solidifying the tradition. In the end, Tibor Pelegrin made it the fastest from the atrium to the fifth floor, in an amazing 22 seconds. Less competitive visitors could compete in more relaxed social games, such as a giant jenga tower, table football, cornhole or indoor bowling.
A popular attraction was the wheel of fortune, on which everyone could win interesting prizes. For example, tea with the dean or small items with the faculty logo.
The guided tours of the faculty were also a great success this year. Groups of visitors could hear about the faculty, the building and its history and could also look at the roof, which is normally inaccessible. A novelty created especially for the 25th birthday of the FSS was a tour using an audio guide and information posters set up at the most interesting places of the building.
Dozens of visitors wished the faculty a happy birthday with a handwritten message on the wish wall.
