On the 9th of May, the Office for International Relations of the Faculty of Social Studies hosted an international barbecue at Špilberk. This event organized specifically for the international students of FSS.
This event was not just about food, it was aimed at fostering a sense of community among students from different cultural backgrounds. Students had a chance to share stories from back their countries, learn about different cultures and, make new friendships.
Student ambassadors of various programs also played an important role in the organization of the event, serving as a bridge between international students and organizers.
In conclusion, it was a great event and a great opportunity to socialize and spend a nice afternoon. The international barbecue is a tradition at the Faculty of Social Studies, held each semester. We eagerly look forward to continuing this tradition in the coming semester. See you at the next barbecue!
On December 11, 2024, our students gathered to celebrate Czech Christmas, an event hosted by the International Office. They enjoyed decorating gingerbread cookies and creating their own Christmas cards, immersing themselves in the festive spirit.
Despite the less-than-ideal weather, many international full-degree and Erasmus students joined the Faculty of Social Studies for a memorable hike around Brno Lake to Veveří Castle on October 26, 2024. The 8.5 km trek, which took approximately 2.5-3 hours, brought everyone together to enjoy the scenic route.
