Extraordinary measures related to the epidemiological situation – access of students, employees and tenants to the FSS MU building

Pursuant to Paragraph 28, Section 1 of the Act No. 111/1998 Coll. (Amended and Consolidated) on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Some Other Acts (The Higher Education Act), following the extraordinary measures issued by the Ministry of Health of 15 April 2020 and the decision of the Rector of Masaryk University, I issue this decision on extraordinary measures (effective as of 18 May 2020)

Article 1

Presence of students in the FSS MU building

(1) The provisions of article 1, paragraph 1 of the Decision of the Dean of FSS MU No. 2/2020 concerning the ban on presence of students in the FSS MU building are repealed. FSS MU students have access to the FSS MU building in the cases listed in paragraph 2.

(2) Access to the building is permitted to the students:

a) of doctoral programs;
b) in connection with their bachelor's and master's theses;
c) enrolled in practical courses who need equipment available only at FSS in order to successfully pass the courses;
d) visiting the library and study room, under the terms and conditions regularly updated on the website of the FFS MU Central Library.

Article 2

Conditions for the presence of students in the FSS MU building

(1) Presence of students referred to in Article 1, Paragraph 2 is conditional upon the fulfilment of the following conditions:

a) Students must have no acute health problems that might be symptomatic of an infectious viral disease (for instance, a fever, cough, shortness of breath, sudden loss of taste and smell, etc.),
b) upon entering the building, students must use hand sanitizer,
c) students have not been ordered a quarantine at the given time,
d) students provide an electronic affidavit on the absence of symptoms of an infectious viral disease in the last two weeks via the Information System of Masaryk University (IS MU)
e) there are no more than five persons present at the same time in one room, all of them using respiratory protection and maintaining a distance of at least 2 m from each other.

(2) Presence of students referred to in Article 1, Paragraph 2, Letter b) is further conditional upon the consent of their final thesis supervisor.

(3) Presence of students referred to in Article 1, Paragraph 2, Letter c) is further conditional upon the consent of the guarantor of the relevant course.

Article 3

Presence of employees over 60 years of age in the FSS MU building

(1) The ban on the presence of employees over the age of 60 in the FSS MU building is lifted.

Article 4

Presence of tenants in the FSS MU building

(1) The ban on the presence of representatives of legal entities that have leased premises in the FSS MU building is lifted.

Article 5

Final Provisions

(1) I entrust the interpretation of this decision to the secretary of the faculty.

(2) Exceptions to this decision are permitted by the Dean.

(3) This decision shall enter into force on 18 May 2020.
