Masaryk Model United Nations 2024
Masaryk Model United Nations 2024 (MUNI MUN 2024) brought together 140 delegates from diverse academic backgrounds spanning six faculties of Masaryk University.
Associate Professor Lukas Blinka, from the Psychological Research Institute, received the award for his contributions as an author to articles exploring the impact of the Internet environment and smartphones on adolescent mental health. These articles were published in a number of prestigious journals, including Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
Mgr. Lenka Dědková, PhD, from the Interdisciplinary Research Team on Internet and Society, received an award for her chapter in The Routledge International Handbook of Children, Adolescents, and Media, as well as her article published in the journal Information, Communication & Society. Both publications are related to her research on the well-being of children and adolescents in online environments.
Mgr. Jitka Navrátilová, PhD, from the Department of Social Policy and Social Work, received an award for her efforts in popularizing research related to the issue of children with incarcerated parents.
Associate Professor Eva Šlesingerová has been awarded for winning the prestigious GAČR EXPRO grant in recognition of her research focused on exploring the relationship between human beings and artificial intelligence in the specific context of the treatment of autism.
Mgr. et Mgr. Marína Urbániková, Ph.D, from the Department of Media Studies and Journalism, received an award for her contribution to an article published in the journal Feminist Legal Studies. The article delves into the challenges faced by female judges in Central Europe and explores the reasons behind disparities in their opportunities for obtaining leadership positions compared to those of their male colleagues.
