Masaryk Model United Nations 2024 (MUNI MUN 2024) brought together 140 delegates from diverse academic backgrounds spanning six faculties of Masaryk University.
The new management of the Faculty of Social Studies MU
At the beginning of September, the new term of office of the Dean of the Faculty of Social Studies MU started. Professor of Political Science Stanislav Balík remained the head of the faculty, while the team of vice-deans underwent some changes.
David Šmahel became the Vice-Dean for Strategy and Development, which will now include the Research and Project Support Department after it merged with the Strategy Department. Vít Hloušek was appointed Vice Dean for Research and Doctoral Studies and will also be in charge of human resources. Blanka Plasová is the Vice-Dean for Internationalization and Student Affairs and who will also deal with lifelong learning and the Faculty's scholarship policies. Adéla Souralová remains as Vice-Dean for Studies and Veronika Velička Zapletalová will continue to be the Vice-Dean for Communication.
With the changes in the management, new heads of the research institutes were also appointed. The International Institute of Political Science (IIP) is now headed by Petr Kaniok and the Interdisciplinary Research Team on Internet and Society (IRTIS) by Hana Macháčková.
