Activities of the Office for International Relations
During April and May, the Office for International Relations prepared several great events for our international students.
One of them was a lecture on April 19 by Professor Reuben Steff, on "The New Great Power Competition: the Chinese-Russian Challenge to the European and Indo-Pacific Security Order". The lecture was followed by a discussion between the participants and Professor Steff.
Another event we prepared for our students in April was a hiking trip from Pisárky to the Holedná lookout tower. The foreign students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the beauty of Brno's surrounding areas, which they are not very familiar with. The program of the trip included a climb to the lookout tower and a short relaxing break in a nice pub. At the end of the trip, we also enjoyed the springtime view of the beautiful reservoir in Brno.
On the last day of the spring semester, Friday 12 May, we gathered for the traditional barbecue for international students and colleagues. We organized this barbecue as a thank-you for the great work done throughout the academic year. It was a great end of the semester where we enjoyed having some fun and great food together.
We hope that we have contributed to creating a friendly and supportive environment for our international students and that they will feel that much more at home with us.
