On the second-to-last Saturday in May, the faculty building came alive with two events: we hosted MjUNI and Open House Brno.

MJUNI, or Junior University, is a series of teaching Saturdays for children aged 9 to 18, where each faculty prepares a program for one day. This year, FSS offered 16 different programs. The teaching was primarily conducted by master’s degree students, as well as some PhD students, who participated to gain experience in what it’s like to teach a classroom full of younger students. The FSS Library contributed with another successful edition of the "Master Librarian’s Code" program. The program attracted over 250 participants, and parents also enjoyed the program, since students from the Department of Social Policy and Social Work prepared an accompanying program with an HR theme for them.

On the same day, the sixth edition of the annual Open House Brno festival took place, offering participants a unique opportunity to explore some of the interesting architectural gems and cultural institutions of the city.

FSS took part in Open House Brno for the first time last year, as part of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the faculty's establishment. This year, we decided to open our doors for individual tours, complete with posters on the building's history and QR codes linking to an audio guide, as well as two guided tours. In total, about 100 people visited our building as part of the Open House Festival.
