October Internationalization activities
This month the Office for International Relations organized a number of events both for Czech and international students.
Our presentations as part of Erasmus Week – a European wide initiative, were attended by 140 students (120 in the Czech and 20 in English). Students at both events learned about the different ways to go abroad (programme types, funding opportunities, deadlines, etc.), and heard directly from students who have been abroad. Our presentations were some of the largest attended across the university.
Two events were organized for the international students. Students braved the cold and not ideal weather for a hike to Veveří Castle (attended by 12 students, both full degree and erasmus), despite the conditions all expressed their happiness to see a part of Brno they didn’t know about. Additionally, discussion on the Czech Presidency of the EU Council was organized.
In November, a Virtual Open Day is organized to promote the BA and MA programmes in English, as well as academic discussions, this time on the topic of the World Cup.
