People of FSS: Hana Hoblová
One of the silent, inconspicuous, yet indispensable, and important faces at FSS is the Study Department Officer, with whom every student and every Ph.D. student will eventually meet. Even individual supervisors, members of departmental councils, or guarantors of doctoral study programs know that they do not have to deal with the majority of the formal matters or keep an eye on them, because there is someone they can completely rely on - Hana Hoblová.

She has been working at the FSS for almost twenty years - since September 2003, and from the beginning, she has been involved in the agenda related to doctoral studies - she is the main figure with whom doctoral students tackle issues of enrollment, their individual study plans, etc. She also makes sure that all formal matters related to doctoral examinations and dissertation defenses are carried out in accordance with the law and the university's internal regulations. She also takes care of the timely payment of various doctoral scholarships. In recent years, she has been the sole officer assigned to the doctoral agenda - she currently has 175 active students under her care.
She describes herself as being more of a private type. She likes spring, when the sun starts to warm things up, the birds sing, and everything blooms. Apart from her family, her biggest hobby is currently gardening - whether it's flowers, herbs, vegetables, or fruit.
"I cannot imagine the doctoral studies at our faculty without the kind, helpful and competent presence of Hanka Hoblová. I sometimes catch myself answering my Ph.D. students' questions about the organization of their studies with the boorish 'I have no idea, ask Mrs. Hoblová, out of all of us she will give you the best advice’" says the Dean of the Faculty, Stanislav Balík.
