“I work as a librarian in loan services. My main job is to make sure that the students and staff can borrow and return the books they need for their studies or work. I also answer specialized questions about such things as electronic information databases, citations, etc.”
Lucie Kuchtíčková Fišerová
What does your ideal morning look like?
The ideal morning must begin with good music. Since I'm learning to sing at the Private School of Popular Singing, I practice songs every spare moment. That means also at breakfast.
Can you recommend a good café or lunch place in Brno to our colleagues?
I like to go to Pirvní opice for lunch since they cook very well. For a good coffee and dessert, I go for example to Mandlárna.
What has surprised you the most in the last six months?
If I should mention something from my life outside of work, it would be the fact that my classmate from the singing school and I were invited to the birthday party of a well-known singer from Brno as a support act. It made me very happy.
What do you look forward to the most during your working day?
I definitely look forward to seeing all my colleagues. And also to helping and advising students who come to the library to borrow literature for exams or final papers.
What's your favorite place at the faculty?
It's the library, of course. And my favorite place here is the Orange Study, which looks like a living room.
What's your most productive hour at work?
I'd say probably between 8 and 9 in the morning.
What book have you read recently?
Jo Nesbø - Headhunters and then the book The Meat Factory by Miloš Urban.
