| Popis | This article aims to provide an overview of the strategic commu-nity development imposed on Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cro-atia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Serbia throughout the accession phase, from 1997 to 2018. This is followed by an empir-ical analysis of the most relevant enlargement policies. Although the European Union has continuously provided various forms of financial and technical assistance in the framework of diverse EU enlargement policies, it is reticent to offer the credible prospect of membership by establishing a deadline for the accession of the Western Balkans. |
