Popis	Research on the cognitive effects of video games often relies on artificial tasks or retrospective reports, limiting ecological validity and obscuring the real-time dynamics of cognitive processes (Ballou, 2023). This ongoing study takes a different approach by observing real-time cognitive and physiological dynamics during extended gameplay of the e-sport title Dota 2. Despite its high cognitive demands, the effects of prolonged competitive play remain underexplored (Schulze et al., 2023).
