Popis Revenge pornography involves amateur-produced intimate photographs or videos that, while created with consent, are later distributed without the consent of the person depicted in the content, which can have negative effects on the short- and longterm mental health of victims. While previous research suggests there are many impacts, there is a lack of a summary of these impacts. Therefore, this systematic review is the first to summarize the impacts of non-consensual pornography on victims' mental health. We included 29 studies in the systematic review, 19 quantitative and 10 qualitative, and categorized the results using Patti Valkenburg‘s and Jochen Peter's Differential Susceptibility to Media Effects Model. The findings show that revenge pornography affects victims' mental health negatively with varying intensity, depending on gender as well as sexual orientation and social context. Victims most often experienced symptoms of depression, anxiety and isolation, with the worst cases reporting suicidal thoughts, self-harm and even attempted suicide. These findings can assist therapists, non-profits, and educational organizations in victim assistance and education, and they have the potential to be a part of the legislative process.
