The research project "Integrative Approaches in Social Work and Social Policy" represents research in the multifaceted field of social work and policy-making, highlighting the need to combine different strategic approaches to strengthen professional practice and outcomes (Ewijk, 2018). By synthesizing multidisciplinary knowledge, the project aims to uncover innovative methodologies that promise to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of professional interventions in these spheres.

In today's complex societal landscape, the "Integrative Approaches in Social Work and Social Policy" project is paramount for several reasons. Modern societies are grappling with unprecedented challenges, ranging from the integration of refugees and the mental health crises among youth to systemic barriers in policy reform and the well-being of social workers themselves. These issues are multifaceted and deeply rooted in the intricate web of societal structures, necessitating a more holistic, integrative approach for effective resolution (Pyles, Adams 2015).

Central to the project is the belief that an integrative, holistic perspective in social work and policy can significantly improve the quality and impact of intervention strategies (Healy, 2022). This stance acknowledges the complex social dynamics affecting individuals and communities and advocates for a responsive approach that harmonizes diverse expertise. The ultimate goal is a resilient, adaptive set of practices that can meet contemporary societal challenges. The research focuses on several critical sub-themes, each reflecting the complexity and fundamental nature of the field:
